Always good to hear a rational reasoned response. Right now without any specials you can get there on Southwest for $143. I have my choice of convenient departure ports and can select from convenient hourly departures. I can take a companion for an extra $49 meaning the per capita rate is about $100 bucks each.

The you go on to claim that 'evil government', peninsula NIMBY's and big business are all in this together. Hmmm, that would be a first. And the Howard Jarvis folks are lobbyists for big business? You sound very well informed

You people are idiots. "I think Southwest will get you there cheaper." Wrong. The average fare is much higher than the $59 teaser rates you "think" everyone pays.

The fare was raised by "the evil government" to make the line more profitable to the private investors who will invest in it.

The San Jose reporter didn't get it, and was pandering to the penisula NIMBYs.

The Howard Jarvis people are lobbyists for big business, who don't want the public to benefit from public investment in public resources. It always has been, and always will.
